SUMMARY OF MAIN CHANGES/IMPROVEMENTS

OF THE NEW LEAGUE WEB SITE

     
1.
 A more modern layout and style.
2.
 Rationalisation of the  main menus.
3.
 Drop Down menus rather than a link at the side which highlight as the mouse runs over them.
4.
 Streamlined hierarchical links especially in Archive Section which is expanding with each year that passes!
5.
 Links also at the top and bottom of each page to make navigation quicker  and easier from page to page.
6.
 Site map available for reference.
7.
 A search facility by keyword e.g. Club or individual name.
8.
 Statistics section:-
    1. Subdivided into smaller pages/items rather than long list
    2. Winners now listed per decade rather than one long list
9.
 No advertising of web site host on every page.
10.
 No longer need to use “frames” to build each page.
11.
 Local golf scenes from all the member clubs of the League on link pages.
12.
 Will work with all browsers but optimised for Internet Explorer (56% of Internet users) and Firefox (27% of Internet users).
